Bhaskar Group undertook the work of deepening and desilting a section of lake in Bhopal from April to June 2010. This lake had dried up due to lack of rains. Regular silting of these water bodies also resulted in reduction of water holding capacity. Due to this development the residents of Bhopal faced an acute shortage of water. Bhaskar Group stood up to this challenge and started digging the silt out of the lake. The digging and deepening was carried out by earth moving equipment’s. About 3,00,000 cubic meters of silt was removed to create a water holding capacity of 10,00,00,000 liters.
