Covid Relief – Rashan Distribution

Covid Pandemic created a huge economic distress resulting in loss of jobs. The workers in cities were badly affected as they lost their livelihood. A large section of these workers including migrant laborers didn’t even have the food to feed their family. Bhavsar Fondation  (Formerly Bhaskar Foundation) decided to help these poor people and immediately came into action and started distribution of food kits. The initiative was supported by Dainik Bhaskar Group which besides contributing a good amount raised contributions from its readers also. The distribution of food kits was done in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi/NCR.

Through this campaign, we were able to deliver food kits (Rashan) to more than 1.50 lakh needy and poor families.

On another front, the Foundation took up an initiative to support the farmers. Free distribution of seeds for cultivation was done among the farmers in many states like Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand. The initiative was supported by Bayer Crop Science Limited.
