Special Initiatives:

1. SFURTI Cluster Project, Baihar, Balaghat

Bhavsar Foundation (Formerly Bhaskar Foundation) has been working with Tribal artisans of Baihar & Paraswada Tehsil of Balaghat District for development of a cluster-based production centre for Agarbatti and Bamboo Based Products. Since year 2018 we have been training the artisans, building their capacity and providing them tools and equipment for production. More than 400 artisans have been engaged.

Under Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI)  Ministry of Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt of India Bhavsar Foundation has been awarded a Cluster Development Project for Agarbatti Production. A SPV named Aranya Kanha Producer Co Ltd has been formed to run this project in which more than 400 artisans will be engaged. A Common Facility Centre will be set up at Chhapara Village in Paraswada Tehsil to drive this project.

2. Jan Shikhshan Sanasthan, Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh:

Jan Shikshan Sansthan aims to provide vocational training to non-literates, neo-literates as well as school drop-outs in rural regions by identifying skills that have a relevant market in that region. Over two-thirds of India’s population comprises rural citizens. The objective of JSS is to uplift this rural population economically by imparting essential skills training, thereby enabling local trades to grow and creating new opportunities for the natives of the region. The scheme is run by Ministry of Skill and Enterprise Development, Govt of India.

Bhavsar Foundation has been sanctioned one Jan Shikshan Sansthan for District Kondagoan, Chhattisgarh. The Foundation has been actively working in this district since last one decade and many skill development projects have been implemented by us in this region. A new Society by the name of Kondagaon Jan Shikshan Sanasthan has been formed to run this project.

3. Upgradation of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs)

DB Group had adopted Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the scheme of Upgradation of 1396 ITIs under PPP mode in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The ITIs are-

  • ITI, Sultanpur (Kota, Rajasthan)
  • Women ITI, Ajmer (Rajasthan)
  • Women ITI, Bhilwara (Rajasthan)
  • ITI, Dabara (Chhattisgarh)
  • ITI, Dharamjaigarh (Chhattisgarh)
  • Women ITI, Raigarh (Chhattisgarh)
  • ITI, Kukshi (District Dhar, Madhya Pradesh)
  • ITI, Sailana (District Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh)

These ITIs were upgraded by Bhavsar Foundation including works like infrastructure development, procurement of furniture, machinery and lab equipment, conducting guest lectures & personality development programmes and providing placement support.

4. Uttam Haat

Bhaskar Foundation initiated a pilot vegetable vending project title “Uttam Haat” which aims to provide cost effective, fresh and near to organic vegetable for the people of Raipur. This was a unique initiative of the Foundation in addition to its core area of skill development and this was a unique initiative of the Foundation and was implemented for a year as pilot and this initiative was also liked by the people of Raipur.
